On Wednesday, October 22, 2025, Pastor Matthew Little, founder and pastor of Kingdom Builders Fellowship Church in Decatur, Georgia, served as the guest speaker for the Wednesday in the Word Revival at St. Paul First Baptist Church in Jefferson, Georgia. His message, drawn from Psalms 103:8–12, was entitled “The Essence of God’s Grace.”
Pastor Little’s sermon reminded all in attendance that the grace of God is not merely a theological concept—it is the heartbeat of our relationship with Him. Through Psalms 103, he illustrated how God’s compassion, patience, and mercy far exceed our human understanding. “The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy,” he quoted, emphasizing that grace is the unearned favor that covers our shortcomings and restores our fellowship with God.
Expounding on the essence of God’s grace, Pastor Little declared that grace is not just what saves us—it’s what sustains us. It’s the divine favor that shields us from what we deserve and opens the door to blessings we could never earn. Even when we stumble, God’s mercy pulls us close, reminding us that His love is constant and unconditional. As he explained, “Grace doesn’t overlook our faults—it overwhelms them with forgiveness.”
The atmosphere at St. Paul was one of deep reflection and renewed gratitude. Many were moved by Pastor Little’s teaching that God’s mercy removes our sins ‘as far as the east is from the west,’ symbolizing a complete and permanent separation from the guilt and shame of our past. In this revival message, Pastor Little encouraged believers to live in the freedom and assurance that comes from knowing they are fully covered by the grace of God.
The evening concluded with an outpouring of worship and thanksgiving, as hearts were stirred to celebrate the undeserved favor of a loving God whose grace is greater than our failures. Truly, Pastor Little’s message captured the revival’s spirit—a call to return to the foundation of faith and to rest in the essence of God’s grace.
